The story of Debbie Maria Johns is both sad, horrific and compelling. It is a story that must be told. My name is Trevor Dunen and in the mid 1970’s I went to school with Debbie Johns. Debbie grew up in Lady Northcote Children’s Home in Bacchus Marsh. Debbie had a mother, Mrs. Bernice Davies and five brothers and sisters. I do not know why Debbie was put in a home. Lady Northcote Children’s Home was not a nice place for some. It was a place where little kids were bashed and abused.

Lady Northcote Children’s Home was a harsh place, devoid of any love or affection. Poor Debbie grew up in this place with her brother, he is still alive, I cannot remember his name but both Debbie and her brother had low self-esteem for obvious reasons. The kids at Bacchus Marsh High School could be cruel and relentless in their teasing and bullying of the poor kids that came from this Children’s home. A Mr. Wimpy was in charge of the place and apparently, he was a cruel bastard.

Lady Northcote Children’s Home had a policy of kicking kids out of the home once they turned 14 or 15 and these kids usually found themselves out on the street and homeless. Poor old Debbie found herself in this position and like a lot of homeless kids she got into drugs and trusted the wrong people.

Debbie struggled on and at age 17 she was in an abusive de facto relationship living somewhere in Melbourne. On February 13^th, 1979 Debbie had an argument with her boyfriend and left him. She then met six youths in St. Kilda.

Mark Carni did the right thing and died orf a heart attack just after we had an argument on the internet & he threatened to sue me- sue me now you dead dog!

Mark Thomas Carni- convicted rapist and scumbag, but was he, and his five fellow rapists, murderers?

 Bulent “Bill” Missoka of Lygon Street, East Brunswick,

 Glenn Geoffrey Dillon of Steele Street, Moonee Ponds,

 Harry John Efthimiadis of Burlington Street, Oakleigh,

 Mark Thomas Carni of Lygon Street, East Brunswick, now in Carlton,

Zdrave “Steve" Misevski of Gerald Street, North Sunshine.

These men are killers and rapists and should never be trusted.

***Note that Zdrave "Steve" Misevski is now living on the Gold Coast in Queensland & I have had contact from people who have had contact with him, he is still a violent, dangerous & threatening man who has no apparent income but has plenty of assets, with dozens of cars coming & going from his home at all hours regularly for no apparent reason. Steer well clear from him as he has continued to be in trouble with the law all these years & from what I have been told, he is still dangerous to women.

These lowlife murdering, raping scumbags took Debbie Johns to Sandringham Beach where they all raped her. They then bashed her and tried to drown her in the ocean. The intrepid six claimed in court that they left Debbie Johns at the foot of a cliff at the Beach, drug affected, bashed and raped. The next day Debbie Johns body was found washed up on the beach.

Since writing this story I have received contact from credible witnesses that Barry Reardon was the ring leader and the person that did the actual killing, despite what the coroner reported, when these six men left Debbie Johns on the beach she was dead and did not die later of drowning.

The six scumbags named above were charged with rape and murder. Curiously they were acquitted of murder but went down on the rape. The Coroner, Mr. Ian Griffiths, S.M., in his great wisdom found that Debbie Johns was alive but drug affected when her rapists abandoned her on the beach so they got off murder.

• He is now living in Cobram after living in Hoppers Crossing for many years.
• He has Parkinson’s Disease.
• He and his partner are both Centrelink frauds and have been claiming benefits for multiple aliases for many years.
• He was in and out of jail frequently in the 80s for armed burglaries and drug offences.
• He abuses alcohol, marijuana and tobacco and seems to have a gambling habit. It seems he wastes his benefits on these as well as extravagant trips to Thailand.

Debbie Johns was a human being, a wonderful human being, she did not deserve to treated like a dog and to die like this. Her first 17 years were horrible and so was her final hours on this earth There are people around who still love Debbie Johns and want her to be remembered for who she was, a vibrant, loving and caring person.

It was thought through misinformation that Debbie was buried in a pauper's grave, this is not true, Debbie's loving family mad sure she received a proper burial. (See photo of her final resting place above).

To the scumbags who snuffed out her life without a thought or care for Debbie Johns I will say this, keep looking over your shoulders for one day somebody might tap you on the shoulder and do the same thing to you. Two of these murdering mongrels actually have Facebook pages, Mark Thomas Carni and Harry John Efthimiadis.
